The Austin date-risk calendar
Advice the national platforms can't give you: certain Austin weekends, hotel rates double or triple and traffic seizes up. If most of your guests are from out of town, avoiding these windows is worth thousands of dollars — theirs and yours.

Rule of thumb: early October in Austin is the most collision-dense stretch of the year — two ACL weekends, F1 weekend, and UT home games can occupy four consecutive Saturdays. March adds SXSW. If those months matter to you for weather, book venues and hotel blocks 9-12 months out and lock room rates early.
